Joseph M. Serpe
Stalco Construction, Inc., an Islandia, N.Y.-based general contracting and construction management firm focused on the higher education and K-12 sectors, has promoted Joseph M. Serpe to principal.
Serpe’s responsibilities as Principal include overall management of all Stalco construction operations, supervision of the firm’s project management and superintendent staff, executive management of selected projects, and mentorship of junior project management personnel.
Serpe will also increase his role in developing and implementing Stalco’s business strategy aimed at geographical expansion, business development activities, and growing the firm’s pre-engineered steel structures design/build affiliate, Stalco International Group, an certified designer and builder of American Buildings Company-fabricated projects.
The firm’s current and recent projects include the $35.8 million renovation and expansion of the Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology in Queens, NY; the $30 million, 176,000-square-foot Three Village School District Expansion and Capital Improvement Program in Setauket, NY; and the $12 million Westbury Middle School science wing.
Serpe is an active member of Contractors For Kids (CFK) and a supporter of Cooley’s Anemia Foundation. Prior to joining Stalco, Serpe served as Project Manager at Radon Construction and as a New York State highway and road construction inspector.
