Ellen Hanson

DLR Group has welcomed Ellen Hanson as K-12 Education business development leader in Chicago. In this role, she leads new business strategy and outreach and specializes in meeting the educational design needs for communities in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.

For more than 30 years, Hanson has dedicated her career to the AEC industry. Her extensive experience and industry knowledge has grown into a reputation for securing, building, and improving client relationships for her teams. She is inspired by the impact design can have on a community and thrives in the collaborative working environment of a design firm.

“Ellen brings an extended network to the firm,” said DLR Group Principal Leanne Meyer-Smith, AIA. “She has a wealth of experience in cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships that result in new business opportunities. She’s the ideal business development professional to position us for continued growth and success in Illinois and beyond.”

Hanson is currently a board member for the Women United/United Way of Chicago, a position she has held since 2017. Hanson also is a LEED Accredited Professional.
