Edu-Tech Facilities 2018: A New Way to Collaborate
SAN ANTONIO — Opal Group, a global conference organizer, will host three exclusive Edu-Tech programs at the Wyndham San Antonio Riverwalk hotel, March 18-20. One of the three conferences, Edu-Tech Facilities, will gather the heads and executives of facilities from many of the nation’s largest school districts.
Throughout the nation, school districts are experiencing challenges that are difficult to face alone. Edu-Tech Facilities is the perfect opportunity for top school professionals in the facilities industry to work as a large team to find the best solutions.
Attendees and speakers will discuss a variety of topics within the departments of facilities, operations, design, construction, capital planning, auxiliary services and support services.
All of the attendees and speakers are highly experienced and knowledgeable education professionals within their fields. There will be multiple speakers who are in charge of large budgets and creating financial initiatives for large schools.
Ronald Harris Bordelon is one of the many examples; he is the chief facilities officer for the Louisiana Department of Education Recovery School District and oversees all aspects of the $2 billion School Facilities Master Plan for Orleans Parish, the largest school disaster recovery program in United States history. Brian Busby is another established speaker who serves as the chief operating officer for the Houston Independent School District and is responsible for all Business Operations areas. In his role as COO, Busby provides leadership to a workforce of more than 7,000 employees and administers an annual operating budget of more than $260 million.
