Tom Oehler

VLK Architects is proud to announce the addition of Tom Oehler as Principal. With 30 years of experience in Central Texas, Oehler has previously served as Managing Principal, Director of Operations, K-12 Practice Director, and Vice President. He will serve as Principal-in-Charge for select clients in VLK’s Austin office.

Oehler earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma. Since then, Oehler has managed business development responsibilities across education, commercial, workplace, and healthcare sectors. Within Oehler’s tenure, he has been instrumental in numerous successful projects and his expertise in the K-12 sector will provide VLK clients with excellent customer service and high-quality work.

Coming from a family of educators, Oehler is passionate about creating positive and lasting impacts on students and teachers and believes that learning environments play a large part in the creativity of students. His experiences bring a deep understanding of the importance of a successful learning environment for student success.
