Linda Young
The Clark County School District Board of Trustees elected Linda Young to serve as president, leading the board in improving student achievement. Representing District C, Young has been an employee of the Clark County School District for over 32 years. Her educational career spans in the Ohio, Colorado, and Nevada regions. Young has held various positions, including serving as a high school teacher, dean, program counselor, director of special education programs, and more. She received her bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Speech, and English and her master’s degree in school psychology from the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Nationally certified as a school psychologist, Young earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University where she developed the nation’s first transitional program for 12th Grade Learning Disabled Students.
