Stantec Completes Merger with Burt Hill
BUTLER, Pa — International architectural and design firm Stantec Inc. has completed a merger with Burt Hill, a 600-person integrated architectural and engineering firm headquartered in Butler, Pa.
The melding of Stantec and Burt Hill bolsters Stantec’s presence throughout the east coast of the United States, and abroad. It also gives Stantec a stronger foothold into the markets that Burt Hill services, which includes healthcare, science, technology, and education projects, “In the last few years, we have worked hard to strengthen our architecture and buildings engineering practices in the United States,” says Bob Gomes, Stantec president and CEO. “Through the combination of our existing staff, [including]recently acquired staff from Anshen + Allen, and now Burt Hill, we are seeing the results of our work, building a premiere presence in the healthcare, science and technology, and education market sectors across North America and internationally.”
With 13 offices in the U.S., the Middle East, and India, Burt Hill has led a number of high-profile projects, ranging from healthcare and research facilities to hospitality and destination developments.
