K.C. Underwood

KHA is proud to announce the promotion of K.C. Underwood AIA, REFP, LEED AP as a new associate.

Underwood has embraced collaborative practice models and has led teams to successfully complete over 4 million square feet of educational projects. His expertise encompasses all educational levels, challenging renovation projects and new construction, including a Net Zero middle school and numerous LEED Certified projects. Underwood is responsible for coordinating the firm’s project planning and staffing, as well as being a technical resource for the staff. He has served as President of AIA North Carolina Eastern Section and on the Board of Directors of AIA North Carolina. K.C. received a Master of Architecture from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia.
