Mary Baum

The Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 Board of Education in Elmhurst, Ill., recently named Mary Baum the district’s new assistant superintendent for learning and teaching. Baum has spent the last four years as principal of Mill Street Elementary School in Naperville District 203, prior to which was a teacher, assistant principal and principal for Palatine District 15.

Baum is currently working toward a Leadership in Curriculum and Instruction doctorate from Aurora University. She received a master’s degree in education from National Louis University as well as a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Rush University.
