William Maffett
Baker Barrios Architects, a multidisciplinary architectural and design firm with projects across the U.S., has announced William Maffett, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, MBA, as national director of higher education. He is based out of the firm’s Nashville office.
Maffett has nearly two decades of experience in planning, design and construction in the higher education sector, including serving on the staff of Auburn University as a campus architect overseeing more than $360 million in capital projects during his tenure.
“William is known as a relationship-builder, both in terms of fostering collaboration and innovation among his team as well as serving as a solutions-oriented resource for clients,” said Baker Barrios co-founder and CEO, Tim Baker. “Designing spaces in the higher education sector often involves balancing the desired outcomes of many stakeholders, and William is great at addressing the needs of every group at the table.”
